Pursuant to Ordinance 3537, in order for a merchant, business, or corporation to sell materials or services to the citizens of Litchfield by door-to-door solicitation, a license must be obtained from the City Clerk’s office. Each person acting on behalf of the registered company will have a permit containing the City seal. Any solicitor who is unable to produce this permit has not registered with the City and does not have permission to be conducting business in the City. And remember, permit or not, you always have the right to ask them to leave.
